Dulcis Memoria

Dulcis Memoria Meinderd Zwart (Countertenor) was born in the former "Dutch Indies". He studied vocal music at the conservatoire of Groningen. Later he continued his studies at the art academy in Amsterdam under Peter Kooy as well as in master classes from Harry Geraerts, Max van Egmond, Jos van Immerseel and James Bowman. Meinderd Zwart is a soloist in high demand, with engagements in Europe, Canada and Japan. Together with organ player Jan Ernst he reocrded the Portrait-CD Laudate Dominum.

Ghislaine Wauters (Baroque Violin) was born in Belgium. She first studied Viola da Gamba under Wieland Kuijken. Later she devoted herself to studying the baroque violin under Sigiswald Kuijken in Den Haag. As a member of ensembles like La Petite Bande, Musica Fiata Köln, Collegium Vocale, La Chapelle Royale and Ricercar Consort she finally specialized on the repertoire of the 16th and 17th century.

William Dongois (Cornett: cornetto, cornetto muto, cornettino) first studied trumpet in Reims and Paris; he taught this instrument as well as giving concerts on it. In the brass ensemble he got to know the music of the Renaissance and of the early Baroque. In master classes under Jean-Pierre Canihac and Jordi Savall and others he began to play cornett. Under Bruce Dickey in Basel he improved his skills. William Dongois gives concerts and participates in recordings with numerous ensembles specializing in ancient music. For Carpe Diem he recorded the solo cornetto CD La Barca d'Amore.

Christine Gevert, born in Hamburg, received her first piano- and organ lessons in Santiago, Chile. In Hamburg she studied organ and thorough bass under Wolfgang Zerer, Gerhart Darmstadt and Carsten Lohff. Finally she received harpsichord lessons from Nicholas Parle in Berlin. Numerous master classes led her to Colin Tilney, Kenneth Gilbert, Bob van Asperen, Jesper Christensen and others. She gives concerts as an organ and harpsichord soloist and plays with her own ensemble Les Inegales with which she recorded the CD Ordinaire de la Chambre du Roi for Carpe Diem.
