Wolkenstein
Oswald von Wolkenstein (1377-1445)
The Tyrolean knight Oswald von Wolkenstein was one of the most important poets of the Middle Ages and one of the most fasinating personalities of his day. The Alta Musica ensemble documents his life and works on WOLKENSTEIN, offering the entire palette of medieval music from alta capella featuring shawms and bombards through songs accompanied by fiddle and flute to four-part masses.
Recorded in 2001 at the Andreaskirche in Berlin.
