Musique Transalpine

Musique de la Bibliothéque du Roy Soleil

"Musique Transalpine á la cour de Louis XIV"
Trio sonatas da chiesa and da camera from the Rost MS, a collection possessed by the bibliotheque royale of "Sun King" Louis XIV. This compilation of German, Austrian and Italian Music (Cazzati, Merula, Muffat, Stoss, Schmelzer, Rosenmüller...) bears witness of the "transalpine" influence in 17th century France.

The first CD "La Cattarina" is performed "á la chambre" - with accompaniment of the historic franko-flemish Rückers-harpsichord of the Historic Museum in Neuchâtel, and with harp and positive organ. The second CD "La Calcanigna" is performed "á l'eglise", in the alsacian church St. Martin , with an organ of Julien Tribuot, organ builder of Louis XIV.

Recorded in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), 2001, and Seurre (France), 2002
